Welcome to the Sleeptastic Breastfeeding Basics course for parents-to-be! I’m excited to see you here, since that means you’re thinking about signing up for this awesome course!

This course will teach you all about breastfeeding and much more! It’s a great course to take with or without your partner. Even though dads or other caregivers won’t actually be breastfeeding the baby, it’s still super helpful for them to learn about the process, how to store/thaw milk, etc so they can help mom out as much as possible. And because there’s lot of other great information included, it will certainly benefit them too!

Here’s what Krystal from Maryland had to say about her experience with the course…

“Since this is my second child, I wasn’t sure if I should take this course but I’m so glad I did! There is so much new info I learned here that I didn’t remember from before and that I know was never taught. I took a class at our local hospital 4 years ago with my first baby and then had a hard time nursing her, so I thought I would do a refresher. I love that I can come back and rewatch videos whenever I need to. While it’s great to learn it all now, I know I’ll be coming back to check on the parts about storing and thawing milk again when I’m ready to return to work in a few months! Great course!”

In this 7 day course, you are going to learn about how to latch your baby, nursing positions, using breast shields, how to store/thaw milk, how to pump, the use of galactagogues, and more! I will also talk about the importance of skin-to-skin contact with baby, what microbes are, the importance of vaginal birth and breastfeeding if possible for giving baby the best possible microbiomes (ie good bacteria), and epigenetics.

In case you didn’t know, I’m not only a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), but I’m also a certified pediatric and adult sleep coach, parenting coach, infant massage educator, pre/postnatal nutritional coach, and health/life coach. Because of this, I also cover topics, such as hydration, nutrition, sleep (for you and baby), stress management, and more! Not only do I cover these topics, but I will give you tools you can use right now to make a difference in any of these areas that you might be struggling with.

The beauty of this online course is that you can…  *watch videos when it’s convenient for you and your spouse/partner (alone or separately) *rewatch as often as you like with lifetime access *learn in the comfort of your own home (perfect for moms on bedrest or with other small children) *print out helpful PDFs like breastfeeding/sleep logs, a handy breastfeeding guide, and more

If you’re on the fence about whether or not you’re ready to sign up for this course, let’s see if any of the following statements are true for you.

1) You’d like to learn how to properly latch and position your baby for breastfeeding.

2) You’d like to learn about the benefits of having a vaginal birth and breastfeeding if possible for giving your baby the best start of their microbes (ie “seeding” of good bacteria).

3) You’d like to learn about what to do if baby is gassy, spitting up frequently, or appears to have reflux.

4) You’d like to learn how to properly store, thaw, and warm breast milk.

5) You’d like to learn how to best pump your milk with not just a regular pump, but also how you can perform hands-on pumping and/or hand expression to get the most milk possible.

6) You’d like to learn a bit about baby’s stools, offering pacifiers, using breast shields, and when to best feed baby (this is actually harder than you might think).

7) You’d like to learn about the stages of lactogenesis, the 9 instinctive stages of birth, what to expect at birth, and the importance of skin-to-skin contact.

If you answered “yes” to any one of these things, then you definitely need to sign up for my 1 week course! You will learn how to deal with all of the above and more! Because your success is my success, I’ve included ways for you to ask simple questions or get clarification on something you’ve read or watched. You can comment at the bottom of on any week’s lesson, and I’ll get back to you ASAP!

This is so much better than having a one-time, one-hour class that you have to juggle your schedules for to go to. Having done similar classes myself as a mom of 4 (including twins), I can promise you that this course has WAY more information in it than that one-hour class! And I never had the ability to ask questions after that class but you do!

If you’re up to learning even more while you’re still pregnant, I invite you to check out my Prenatal Nutrition course, where you can learn about the foods you should be eating/avoiding for optimal health for you and baby, as well as info on your sleep, staying active, stress management tools, staying hydrated, and more.

Or you can take my Prenatal/Newborn Sleep course, where you can learn all about sleep for your baby (and for you), daytime schedules, routines, room environment, sleep goals (and how to actually work on them), and much more! Or you can take one step further and take this course, the Prenatal/Newborn Sleep, and the Prenatal Nutrition course as a Prenatal Bundle package!

Here’s what Tanya from California had to say about her experience with the course…

“I learned SO much from this course and am thankful I was able to take it! I was put on bedrest with my twins recently, which meant that I couldn’t get to any of the hospital courses. Turns out that was a blessing in disguise! A friend told me about this course, and I immediately signed up. I was able to watch all the videos in one day (I was a little bored), and my husband was able to watch the videos here and there when he was able to which worked out great! I feel like I’m ready to try this whole breastfeeding thing now when my little angels arrive in hopefully a few more weeks. Thank you for offering such an informational course!”

Regardless of whether or not you sign up today, I invite you to visit and “like” my Facebook pages “Sleeptastic Solutions – Health & Lifestyle” (for nutrition and overall health topics) and “Sleeptastic Solutions – Children” for articles, blogs, studies, upcoming events from me, and funny memes (we all love those)!

Finally, I have a free, closed Facebook group called “Gentle Parenting Solutions“, which is a group open to the public for parents to talk about all kinds of parenting topics.  Hope you come and join the Sleeptastic family!  Thanks for visiting!

*Note: Not all results are typical. Your success with the course is dependent on how much time and effort you put into doing the things I talk about in the course, as well as your consistency with the program, among other things. Always check with your pediatrician or a local CLC /IBCLC, if you’re struggling with breastfeeding.
