Welcome to the Sleep School: Prenatal/Newborns course! I’m excited to see you here, since that means you’re thinking about signing up for this awesome course! The most important thing I want you to understand about this course is that it is NOT about sleep training your baby, nor is it about how to drop night feeds so your baby can sleep through the night.
This course is designed to educate you about what newborn sleep looks like, as well as giving you sleep goals to work towards (ie “sleep teaching”). If you can create a good, healthy sleep foundation early on, understand the timing of your baby’s naps/bedtime, and know when it’s best to feed your baby (breast or bottle), your life will be so much easier!
If you can instill good sleep habits early on, then you have a really good chance of avoiding the dreaded “4mo regression” later, or at least getting through it without much fuss! If you’ve never heard of this sleep milestone, you certainly will when your baby is nearing this age and their sleep is starting to go downhill. But no worries, because I will help you avoid this pitfall!
Here’s what Talia of Pennsylvania had to say about taking this course…
“I learned so much in this course! I didn’t realize that there was so much to know about sleep! I definitely feel much more prepared for my baby to arrive in 4 months. I feel like I have an action plan not just for sleep but for his whole day (something I was nervous about). I’m looking forward to continue learning by taking the breastfeeding course next! Thanks for all the info!”
In this 7 day course, you will not only learn all about sleep for your baby in general, but I give you very specific goals to work on once your baby is here. I’ll give you sample daytime schedules based on age, talk to you about the room environment for baby, and tell you exactly what to do in order to start teaching independent sleep skills as soon as you’re comfortable doing so.
I’ll also be teaching you about the different types of crying/stress, how to know when to feed baby vs putting them to sleep, bed/nap routines, what happens in the “4th Trimester” for both you and baby, baby reflexes, and the benefits of infant massage. I also spend time at the end talking about what you can do to best take care of yourself during this wonderful, yet stressful time in your life, including giving tips on how YOU can sleep better.
Still not sure if you should take this course? Let me ask you 4 important questions…
1) Do you want to learn more about sleep for your baby and yourself (ie sleep cycles, sleep facts, regressions, how much sleep your baby needs, deprivation, etc)?
2) Would you like to learn how to help your child become an independent sleeper, as soon as baby is able to so you can both get some much-needed rest?
3) Would you like to know how and what outside factors can affect your baby’s sleep?
4) Are you the kind of parent that loves to be prepared about “everything baby”?
If you answered “yes” to any one of these things, then you definitely need to sign up for my 7 day course! I’ve personally helped thousands of families like yours become educated about sleep, which has resulted in happy, well-rested families! I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that I’ve helped marriages to be saved, sanity be restored, postpartum depression and anxiety symptoms be lessened or completely disappear, relationships be repaired, and bonds be made stronger!
Below you will find the daily lesson topics that are covered in this course, so you can know exactly what will be covered. Besides the daily lessons, which include videos and text, I’ve also included a bunch of printable and downloadable PDFs. In fact, I have an entire library full of document files and also audio clips to help you further in your journey, as well as a list of “must-have” products for your “sleep teaching” journey! There is absolutely no reason why you can’t be successful, if you follow my instructions in this course once your baby has arrived.
Because your success is my success, I invite you to comment or ask questions at the bottom of on any day’s lesson. You will also be invited to join a closed Facebook group just for course attendees and private clients (link is in the Day 1 lesson). There’s also another more private, hands-on option (working directly with me) once you start the program that you can choose to do for a small additional fee (more information in the Day 1 lesson).
You can also choose to visit and “like” my Sleeptastic Solutions Facebook page for important sleep articles, blogs, studies, upcoming events from me, and funny memes (we all love those)! Finally, I have a free, closed Facebook group called “Gentle Parenting Solutions“, which is a group open to the public for parents to talk about all kinds of parenting topics. You can join this group, even if you decide not to move forward with a course!
And don’t forget about my other courses that are available too, including Breastfeeding Basics and Prenatal Nutrition. These courses are a great way to round out your prenatal/pregnancy education journey. Or you can take all 3 courses (Prenatal Bundle) for a super low price!
Being prepared for your baby both physically and mentally can really help you to feel more in control of what’s happening, as well as reduce your stress and anxiety. To help entice you with this, there’s a coupon on the last lesson day to use for any and all future courses!
