Welcome to Sleep School: Newborns! I’m excited to see you here, since that means you’re thinking about signing up for this awesome course! The most important thing I want you to understand about this course is that it is NOT about sleep training your baby, nor is about dropping night feeds so your baby can sleep throught he night. This course is designed to teach you about “sleep teaching”, which is quite different than traditional sleep training methods.

Here’s the thing. If you can create a good, healthy sleep foundation and understand the timing of your baby’s naps and bedtime, your baby may actually drop some or all of their night feeds (depending on their age) completely on their own. But that’s really just an added bonus, as that’s not my main mission. The point of this course is get your baby “started off on the right foot” when it comes to sleep. If you can instill good sleep habits now, then you have a really good chance of avoiding the dreaded “4mo regression” later on or getting through it without much fuss!

I have 7 important questions for you…

1) Do you have a baby aged 1 day through 4 months old who isn’t sleeping well?
2) Is your child up every hour at night (excluding feeds) or restless and cranky at bedtime?
3) Is your baby an “all day short napper”?
4) Would you like to learn how to help your child become an independent sleeper, so you can both get some much-needed rest?
5) Do you want to learn more about sleep in general (ie sleep cycles, sleep facts, regressions, how much sleep your baby needs, deprivation, etc)?
6) Would you like to know how and what outside factors can affect your baby’s sleep?
7) Are you ready to make the changes needed in order to have your entire family sleeping and feeling better?

If you answered “yes” to any one of these things, then you definitely need to sign up for my 14 day course! I’ve personally helped hundreds of families like yours take back control of their lives! I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that marriages have been saved, sanity has been restored, postpartum depression and anxiety symptoms have been lessened or have completely disappeared, relationships have been repaired, and bonds have been made stronger all because of something I call “sleep teaching”!

Below you will find the daily lesson topics that are covered in this course. As you can see, I start you off with the basics, or sleep foundations. It’s important to understand why things happen like they do and when they do. I talk about routines, environment, charting, daily schedules, how to know when to put your baby to sleep, and other important things needed for your sleep teaching journey. Then I go through the 5 goals of sleep teaching, breaking it down by phases after that. These phases will let you know exactly what to do and how to do it for bedtime, night wakings, and naps. I answer a bunch of “what-if” questions and give you great tools to help with parental stress and anxiety (we all need that)! Finally, I wrap it all up for you and give you some direction on where to start first.

I’ve worked long and hard on coming up with these topics and developing this course, so I hope that it’s all you could ever want in a sleep teaching course and more! Besides the daily lessons, which include videos and text, I’ve also included many printable and downloadable PDFs. In fact, I have an entire library full of document files and also audio clips to help you further in your journey, as well as a list of “must-have” products for your sleep teaching journey! There is absolutely no reason why you can’t be successful, if you follow my instructions in this course.

Because your success is my success, I’ve included ways to ask simple questions or get clarification on something you’ve read or watched. You can comment at the bottom of on any day’s lesson or participate in a closed Facebook group just for course attendees and private clients of mine (link is in the Day 1 lesson). There’s also another option once you start the program that you can choose to do for a small additional fee (more information in the Day 1 lesson).

You can also choose to visit and “like” my Facebook pages “Sleeptastic Solutions – Children” and “Sleeptastic Solutions – Adults” for important sleep articles, blogs, studies, upcoming events from me, and funny memes (we all love those)! Finally, I have a free, closed Facebook group called “Gentle Parenting Solutions“, which is a group open to the public for parents to talk about all kinds of parenting topics. You can join this group, even if you decide not to move forward with a course!
